Donkey Kong Country Returns is a beautiful game. No platformer has ever presented such detailed and dynamic environments; the world is alive and reacts in unique ways as you progress. It is appropriate, then, that such a gorgeous game has equally fantastic artwork.

Another Wii game that I seriously need to play.
That third image reminds me of the board game, Fireball Island. That giant fireball-spewing banana’s gonna give me nightmares
Seriously, though, Sammy Hall’s work is totally awesome. I’d like to hang that last one up on a wall.
Until you play the game, you wouldn’t believe that the game is nearly as beautiful as the art here. It’s really one of the best looking games I’ve ever played.
